Loaves and Fish Community Ministries Inc., a 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation committed to serving the needs of the homeless in Mobile, Alabama, since 1979, will host its annual fundraiser ART SOUP on November 22, 2019.
ART SOUP is an annual fundraiser that kicks off Homeless Awareness Week in November. It is an evening of entertainment, great food, and local art that brings attention to the homeless issues in our area and raises funds for the organizations that provide help for the homeless. The art in “Art Soup” is represented by exquisite, handcrafted bowls donated by local artists. The empty bowl signifies the fight against hunger.
This year, Art Soup will feature local artists showcasing their talent throughout the event, music by the band SWING, soups and deserts from local restaurants, and a cash bar. The event will be held at Crown Hall on November 22, 2019, from 6-9 p.m. Tickets are $35 per person and can be purchased at www.artsoupmobile.org. On the day of the event, all tickets can be purchased at the door by check, cash or credit card.
Proceeds from ART SOUP will benefit the following organizations: Door to Serenity, Family Promise, McKemie Place, Ransom Ministries, Penelope House, The Salvation Army, USA Student-Run Free Clinic and Wings of Life Recover, as well as other organizations that can replicate services lost with the closing of the 15 Place day center, such as showers, mailbox services, laundry and bag drops.
Businesses and individuals can sponsor or make donations. Benefits include event tickets, media exposure and a tax-deductible receipt. Donor options range from $250-$5,000, and donations can be made through pay pal at www.artsoupmobile.org. Donations by check can be made to Loaves & Fish Community Ministries, Inc.
