Dearborn YMCA will host summer fundraiser, “Jazzy Blues” concert at Cooper Riverside
Park on Sunday, August 8, 2021 from 5 to 8 p.m. All proceeds to benefit Dearborn YMCA capital
improvements and programs. This program is a collaboration with the ‘Divine 9’ National African-American Fraternities and Sororities. The Jazzy Blues concert will feature live Jazz and Blues artists, food trucks, cash bar all for ten dollars
admission. Featured performers include: Alvin King & the Fifth K’nection Jazz Band, The Outlawz, and
national recording artist Mr. David aka Pressha. Tickets can be purchased at Dearborn YMCA or
Members of the Divine Nine.
Dearborn YMCA received its Charter in 1933 and opened its present facility in December, 1975. PreCovid the 49,000 square feet facility had fifty-three employees, and impacts over 2600 Youth and 275
Seniors. Dearborn YMCA derives the majority of its revenue from programs, such as Child Development,
Before and After School Care, Pathway to Employment, Senior Activities for Independent Living,
Summer Camp, Swim Team and Youth Sports.
