Dill Lecture Series featuring Dr. Amy-Jill Levine

The Dill Lecture Series of Dauphin Way United Methodist Church is pleased to present a lecture by Dr. Amy-Jill Levine at the church on Thursday, August 24, at 7:00 PM in Moore Hall.  Dr. Levine is the Rabbi Stanley M. Kessler Distinguished Professor of New Testament and Jewish Studies, Hartford International University (CT) for Religion and Peace and for years taught New Testament and Jewish Studies at Vanderbilt University Divinity School.  She is an internationally renowned author and scholar of the New Testament and acclaimed champion for Jewish-Christian relations.  She has received notable recognition for her work and just recently was named the 2023 recipient of the Hubert Walter Award for Reconciliation and Interfaith Cooperation from the Archbishop of Canterbury.  In her lecture at Dauphin Way she will speak on “Jesus in His Jewish Context: piety, prayer, parables, politics.”  The event is free of charge and open to the entire community.
