The Black Ink Coalition in partnership with the USA Libraries Art Galleries are pleased to announce Jazz Art Writers South (J.A.W.S.) Festival/Exhibit a new summer event for Mobile, AL and the surrounding area.

This art exhibit at the University of South Alabama is a celebration of jazz and features the work of 7 Gulf Coast Artists.

This free exhibit will have special events for it’s Grand Opening on Thursday, May 19th:

JAWS Youth – Artwork created by Boys & Girls Club members.

JAWS Letters & Songs – A Local Author Meet & Greet Event from 12 Noon – 4 PM.

“Jazz on a Summer’s Day” – A free feature film presentation, with introduction by a local jazz musician! Film Starts at 1:30 PM.

Come out and experience this free event which presents the arts in new way as we celebrate jazz in our community. This event is free and open to the public.

J.A.W.S Festival will be held at the University of South Alabama, Marx Library, located at 5901 USA Drive North, Mobile, Alabama starting May 16 through June 30, 2022. Come join us Thursday, May 19th, 2022 for this free! More free event information at Eventbrite.com
