"Money Is Time" Virtual Lecture

Son of the American Revolution Bill Sommers is eager to discuss colonial coins via Zoom, February 23 at 5 p.m. His talk, “Money is Time”, will offer examples of some of the most common and important coins and bills from colonial America.

The Huntsville, Alabama, engineer became interested in colonial coins six years ago when his wife Susan began sewing colonial period clothes for him. He discovered he wanted the coins inside his pockets to be consistent with his colonial clothes outside his pockets; thus, a new interest was born. He found that studying and handling these coins felt a bit like being transported back in time.
