Event Details

National Crime Victims’ Rights Week is observed each April to promote victims’ rights and honor crime victims and those who advocate on their behalf. The 2019 theme is “Honoring Our Past. Creating Hope for the Future.” This year we celebrate the progress made by those before us as we look to a future of crime victim services that is even more inclusive, accessible, and trauma-informed.

Please join the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office for a Resource Fair and Victims’ Remembrance Vigil on April 11, 2019. The event is free, open to the public, and will take place at Mardi Gras Park from 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm. Victims’ Service providers and various community agencies will be available with resources. A vigil will also be held in honor of those who have lost their lives due to crime. We hope to see you as we bring awareness to crime and crime prevention.

If you have lost a loved one due to violence, we invite you to bring a picture that will be placed on a remembrance board and participate in a balloon release.
