Roxane Gay, one of America’s most beloved writers and cultural critics, is coming to the University of South Alabama on Thursday, September 13th. Widely considered the leading feminist voice of our time and often featured on The Daily Show and Fresh Air, her work garners international acclaim for its honesty and ferocity. Her NY Times best-selling books include the essay collections Bad Feminist and Hunger, the novel An Untamed State, and the short story collections Difficult Women and Ayiti. Prepare to be surprised and delighted as the eclectic Roxane explores topics ranging from politics, patriarchy, and Beyoncé to reality television. Her lecture will be held in USA’s Student Center Ballroom at 6:00 p.m. with a book signing and reception to follow in the Terrace Room. This event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited to 500. First come, first served.
