Description of event: The South Alabama Out of the Darkness Walk is a fundraiser for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, the world’s largest foundation for suicide research, education, advocacy and survivor support.  Registration and check in begins at 1 pm, the 2 mile walk will begin at 2:45 pm.  Afterwards there will be a butterfly release, symbolizing HOPE.  There will be children activities, water/treat station for your furry friends (on leash and clean up afterwards), music, food, refreshments and lots of vendor tables with information. Also, a memory wall so you can bring pictures of your loved one that you lost to suicide.
