Broadway veteran Joel Vig appears in Monroeville Sept. 27-29 as Truman Capote, in the world premiere of his one-man play, “Truman Talks Nelle Harper Lee.” In this delightful fictional drama, Capote has made a surprise return to Monroeville to celebrate the 50th birthday of his famous friend and, as the assembled guests await her arrival in the historic courtroom of the old Monroe County Courthouse, , he shares stories of their lifelong friendship. Will she show up? Come and see! Performances are Friday and Saturday nights at 7 p.m., and include a cocktail reception with the star afterward.
