June 7, 2025 // Ceremony and reception at Bellingrath Gardens and Home
Aren and Reis’ summer wedding day brought their closest friends and family members together to celebrate. The ceremony, officiated by the bride’s father, took place in front of the Bellingrath house, decorated with lots of ribbons and wildflowers for the garden party theme. After the couple said their vows, they took communion together, and had a “blessing of the fathers,” where their fathers of prayed over them.
After the ceremony and photos, the couple joined the reception on the lawn. All enjoyed a brunch and mocktails, the couple’s first dance to Nat King Cole’s “L-O-V-E,” the mother and son dance, and the father and daughter dance. The bride’s cousins surprised everyone with a choreographed routine (based on an inside joke) and guests joined the dance floor. The festivities ended as all gathered at the Bellingrath dock, waving monogrammed handkerchiefs as the couple stepped onto our getaway boat and sailed away down Fowl River.
