Looking back on their wedding, Greer and Pete say that the weekend marks the hardest they have laughed and the most fun they have had in their lives. The couple took to Boca Grande with their closest family and friends for their June wedding, where the focus was on the fun and everyone in attendance looked forward to celebrating the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. vanLingen. The weekend’s lack of strict schedule allowed for an easygoing and truly joy-filled celebration that began with a boat cruise and lunch with the wedding party the day before the ceremony.
A nod to Mobile was given through local musician (and friend to the bride and groom) Cooper Trent playing at the rehearsal dinner. The wedding ceremony and reception incorporated everything the couple enjoys together: the water, fishing, boats and sunshine. The Gasparilla Inn served as the ideal setting for the evening’s festivities, with shell and rattan accents emphasizing the nautical theme as guests enjoyed refreshments and dancing at the reception. After a gorgeous sunset, the unforgettable celebration continued into the night until the couple departed for their honeymoon.
