We recently purchased and installed a set of French doors and two single doors on the back of our house. When I say we spent months looking for the right doors for our budget and style, I’m not exaggerating. It seemed that the doors I wanted were either out of our price range or were what I call “insert” doors, which wasn’t the style I wanted for our home.
But I learned a lot along while we shopped, and wanted to show you the difference between these two types of doors and how you can decide which is best for you. There are many other door types out there, but these two make up a large majority of the market, so it’s worth knowing which fits what you’re looking for as a starting point.
