March 1, 2025 // Ceremony and reception at Corpus Christi Catholic Church

Lindsey and Anthony were married on the Saturday of Mardi Gras weekend, a celebration marked by fun and meaning. Friends, family and loved ones came together for the evening wedding Mass at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, where the bride’s family has been parishioners for over 30 years. The bride walked down the aisle holding a bouquet wrapped with a rosary belonging to the mother of the bride’s best friend, who passed away a few years prior, and a pendant with photos of her cousin. During the Mass, the couple held a cord and veil ceremony, a Filipino wedding tradition that symbolizes unity and protection, a nod to the groom’s heritage and using the same cord and veil used at the groom’s mother and stepfather wedding ceremony.

At the reception, the food mirrored the newlyweds’ love of midnight snacks, and instead of a garter and bouquet toss, the couple had custom t-shirts tossed on the dance floor. All in attendance danced the night away before the Mardi Gras exit, tossing beads to the departing husband and wife.
