Color and cheerfulness characterized Mary Frances and Turner’s summer wedding celebration. The bridesmaids, all arrayed in a mix of yellows, greens and pinks, processed down the aisle in front of a throng of guests as the St. Ignatius Catholic Church ceremony began. The date was especially meaningful as it was the 63rd anniversary of the bride’s grandparents, both of whom were in attendance for the celebration. The bride, carrying bright florals, walked down to meet her groom, and the vows began.
The Fort Conde Inn street party followed the nuptial Mass, complete with a classic Southern menu of chargrilled oysters, crab cakes, shrimp and grits, beef tenderloin and Cammie’s Old Dutch ice cream. The dance floor was full all night as the newlyweds and their guests celebrated the marriage, closing a picturesque day with a secondline exit.
