March 29, 2025 // Ceremony at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Reception at Bragg-Mitchell Mansion
After originally meeting at the bride’s best friend’s wedding, Melanie and Clayton were excited to finally be surrounded by family and friends at their own wedding. The nuptial Mass at St. Ignatius Catholic Church saw the couple exchange their vows in front of God and their loved ones, the bride wearing her best friend’s veil, an ode to the start of the bride and groom’s love story.
Afterward, everyone gathered at Bragg-Mitchell Mansion for the spring garden party reception. Music from the bride’s great-grandfather’s jazz recordings started the festivities on a high note as guests and newlyweds took to the dance floor, Alabama and Auburn shakers in hand to showcase the couple’s rivalry. As night settled in, the newlyweds made their exit through a shower of pink rose petals, setting off to their new life together in a vintage 1940 Packard.
