Emme and Rony were married in an idyllic spring ceremony at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, reciting their vows in front loved ones. After post-ceremony photos, the newlyweds and bridal party took trolleys to Stewartfield, entering the hydrangeas and greenery-filled tent in a secondline led by the Excelsior Band, after which the couple had their first dance to “Your Smiling Face” by James Taylor. The dance floor filled as the party became a lively celebration. The groom surprised his wife mid-reception a rendition of “Hallelujah I Love Her So” by Ray Charles, and all danced until sunset.
The party ended with a hot dog bar and Chrissys to match the wedding hats and stickers with Big Al hitting a hot dog off a golf tee. The newlyweds were sent off with rose petals and Alabama shakers, and rode off to the after party at Post on the Hill in a bright blue convertible.
