I cannot stress this enough: CREPE MYRTLES ARE NOT MEANT TO BE CHOPPED OFF WITH A CHAINSAW AT CHEST HEIGHT. It doesn’t help them bloom better. Your neighbor is wrong if they do it. I don’t care what your yard guy says. And if your dad does it (bless his heart), sadly he’s wrong too. There are a lot of subjectives in my field. I am a designer after all. To each their own style and expression of creativity. This is not one of those subjective things!
