LIVE is a performance series celebrating home-grown and regional performance art of all genres. From songwriters to gospel singers, poets to musicians, jazz to contemporary dance, MMofA is interested in the rare talents that heat and humidity can inspire. The performance is in Larkins Auditorium.
Thursday, September 20 @ 7 PM
Mobile-native Abe Partridge is often lauded for his gravelly voice reminiscent of Tom Waits and his acoustic guitar strumming that weaves together blues, country, punk, and rock influences. Previous to becoming a musician, Partridge was an evangelical minister and also served in the Air Force, both of which shaped his unique path to becoming a musician and helped him develop his ability to connect with the audience during live performances. Join us for a night spent enjoying Partridge’s poetic lyrics, which tell tales of love, loss, and harassment by the IRS.
