Mobile Arts Council - September Exhibitions

This September, see the inner workings of memory as portrayed by printmaker Grant Benoit; draped pieces created by the designers showcased in Mobile Fashion Week 2018; and a collection of work by our 2018’s The Throwdown competitors Ardith Goodwin, Ben Kaiser, Cat Pope, conz8000, and Devlin Wilson, along with their equally fierce artist assistants Shauna Meiri, Marnée Wiley-Edwards, Kristin Dunreath Harris, DeAnthony Dulaney, and Ben Hebert.

The exhibitions will hang September 10^th – 30^th. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on weekdays, with a reception on ArtWalk night, Friday, September 14^th, from 6 – 9 p.m.

MAC will also be unveiling a new window installation in the Webber Building windows on ArtWalk night. This installation was created by students of the Optimist Boys & Girls Club this summer in partnership with the Mobile Arts Council and the Alabama Contemporary Art Center. The installation will feature brightly colored nature paintings and mixed-media works inspired by creatures found in the Mobile-area.
