August 16: Post on the Hill Cornhole Tournament

Post on the Hill • 4513 Old Shell Rd.

5 p.m. Enjoy food and drinks in the outdoor courtyard while proving your bag skills at this double elimination cornhole tournament for players of all skill levels. Entry is $15 per person.

August 22: Excursion to the SS United States

3 p.m. – 4 p.m., 4:15 p.m. – 5:15 p.m. Join local historian John Sledge for a cruise on Mobile Bay to see the fastest, largest passenger ocean liner to cross the Atlantic. Tickets: $26.

August 22: The Art of Mixology: Tiki

6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Learn to craft the kind of cocktails that make you feel like you’re on vacation, even if school’s back in session. Tickets are $140 and include five cocktails, appetizers, sides and a whole roasted pig.

10 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. Fri., 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Sat. Colorful, elegant, whimsical and Southern, this inspired art show features the incredible work of over 60 professional artists from across the Southeast. Free admission.

August 23: Coastal Tailgate Cook-off Challenge
