Through December 31: Magic Christmas in Lights

Bellingrath Gardens and Home • 12401 Bellingrath Gardens Rd., Theodore.

5 p.m. – 9 p.m. The Mobile tradition continues with 3 million lights and 15 holiday scenes. Don’t forget to snag some hot chocolate or a photo with Santa before heading home. Tickets are $15 for adults, $7.50 for children ages 5 – 12 and free for children 4 and under.

Through January 1: Christmas Nights of Lights

Hank Aaron Stadium • 755 Bolling Brothers Blvd.

5:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. Pack the car with friends and family and enjoy this 1.5-mile drive-thru Christmas light show featuring hundreds of thousands of lights synchronized to Christmas music. Admission is $6 per person. Children 3 and under are free.

Through January 14: Riverside Ice

Cooper Riverside Park • Downtown Mobile

11 a.m. – 10 p.m., Mon. – Thurs.; 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. Fri. – Sat.; Noon – 8 p.m., Sun. Lace up your skates for some winter fun on the ice. Admission is $10 for adults and $8 for kids 12 and under. Lessons will be available on Saturdays and Sundays for $15.

December 1 – 23: Holiday Duck Boat Tours

Downtown Mobile

Start a new family tradition with the Gulf Coast Ducks' holiday duck boat tours. The one-hour tour will roll through the streets of downtown and splash twice into the Mobile River. Enjoy the view of Riverside Ice from the river and sing along to your favorite holiday tunes. Cost is $25 for adults and $15 for kids. 

December 2: Movie in the Square

Cathedral Square • Downtown Mobile

5 p.m. Bring chairs and blankets to Cathedral Square for a free screening of the holiday favorite “A Christmas Story.” Children's activities will take place before the movie begins. 

December 5: Holiday Cheer at Five

Five • 609 Dauphin St.

5 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. This benefit for the Child Advocacy Center features a wine tasting, samplings of Five's signature dishes, music by Jerry Squires and a live auction of holiday gifts. Tickets are $35 each. 

December 10 – 11: The Nutcracker

Mobile Civic Center • 401 Civic Center Dr.

2:30 p.m., 7 p.m., Sat.; 2:30 p.m. Sun. The Mobile Ballet takes to the stage with a traditional holiday production the whole family will enjoy. Tickets start at $20 for adults and $17.50 for children, seniors and military.

December 17: Charlie Brown Jazz Christmas

Saenger Theatre • 6 S Joachim St.

7 p.m. Get in the holiday spirit with this festive performance of Vince Guaraldi’s “A Charlie Brown Christmas” with a cameo appearance from Snoopy and Woodstock. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children 10 and under. A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to the Jake Peavy Foundation.

December 23: Dollar General Bowl

Ladd-Peebles Stadium • 1621 Virginia St.

7 p.m. Catch all the football action in person as the top teams from the Mid-American and Sun Belt conferences go head-to-head at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. General admission tickets are $15.

December 31: MoonPie over Mobile

Downtown Mobile

Celebrate the end of 2016 with a laser light show, fireworks, live music from 38 Special and of course,  watch our infamous 12-foot-tall electric MoonPie drop at midnight.
