7 p.m. Celebrate the holiday with patriotic music by the Baldwin Pops Band at 7 p.m. followed by a stunning fireworks display at 9 p.m. Admission is free.

7 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and sing “Happy Birthday” to the USA! The event includes a patriotic performance by the Mobile Pops at 7 p.m. and fireworks at 9 p.m.

July 6: Journey

Amphitheater at The Wharf • Orange Beach

7:30 p.m. Don't stop believin'! The legendary rock band takes the stage at The Wharf with special guests Asia. Tickets start at $52. 

July 15: Oakleigh Summer Lawn Party

Oakleigh House Museum • 350 Oakleigh Place

2 p.m. – 5 p.m. Celebrate summer with food, fun and entertainment for all ages. There will be outdoor games, activities and crafts for kids, and a beer and wine bar, outdoor art show and exclusive Antique Interiors Art History Tour of the house museum for adults. Tickets are $15. Children 10 and under are free.

July 15: Dauphin Street Vault

Downtown Mobile

10 a.m. – 10 p.m. Join beginner and elite pole vaulters as they launch themselves high in the sky on the streets of LoDa. Registration is currently $40; after July 7, it jumps to $60.

July 16, 23, 30: Summer Classic Movie Series

Saenger Theatre • 6 South Joachim St.

3 p.m. ​On Sunday afternoons, head to the Saenger for matinee screenings of classic films including “Breakfast at Tiffany's, ” “Blazing Saddles” and “The Color Purple.” Tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for seniors and children 12 and under.

July 21 – 23: Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo

Dauphin Island

Founded in 1929, the three-day rodeo features 30 categories with first, second and third place prizes in each. Cash prizes will be awarded for king mackerel, speckled trout and big game jackpots, and one master angler will be crowned. Fishermen and spectators will enjoy a liars' contest and live music throughout the weekend.

July 22: Mardi Gras in July

Fairhope Brewing Co. • 914 Nichols Ave., Fairhope.  

2 p.m. Carnival season comes early to the Eastern Shore with special Mardi Gras-themed beer offerings, food trucks and live music from the Bay City Brass Band, Fat Man Squeeze and Lauren Murphy and the Psychedelics. 

July 26: Bay Bites Food Truck Festival

Cooper Riverside Park • Downtown Mobile

5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Food trucks, cold beer, lawn games, live music and riverfront views – all for a good cause. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door (one ticket includes three drink tokens, food will be available for purchase). Proceeds benefit Mobile Baykeeper.  

July 31: Cheers to Children

Moe's Original Bar B Que 701 Springhill Ave.

6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. This benefit for the Child Advocacy Center features delicious hors d'oeuvres, a wine tasting, silent and live auction and live music by Harrison McInnis. Cost is a $35 donation.
