October 13: Boots & BBQ Bash 2016

Camp Grace • 11081 Wanda Dr.

6:30 p.m. Enjoy a dinner of delicious barbecue at this third annual benefit for Children's of Alabama Pediatric Rheumatology Clinic in Mobile. Throw on your best pair of cowboy boots for hayrides, a bonfire,  mouthwatering s’mores and live music by the Bearded Spoon. Admission is $60 per person and $500 per table.

October 13: Bay Bash

5 Rivers Delta Resource Center • 30945 Five Rivers Blvd., Spanish Fort.

6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Celebrate our coastal community with fresh Gulf seafood, signature Bay Bash cocktails, a silent auction and live music overlooking the Mobile-Tensaw Delta. Tickets are $50 for non-members and $35 for members. Proceeds benefit Mobile Baykeeper's efforts for clean water, clean air, and healthy communities.

October 13 – 15: Greek Fest

Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church • 50 S Ann St.

11 a.m. – 10 p.m., daily. Experience Greece in Mobile with live Greek music, a local marketplace,  performances by Hellenic Dancers and authentic Greek food, drinks and desserts. Admission is $2 per person. Advanced tickets (including admission, adult meal and dessert) are $24. 

October 13 – 16: National Shrimp Festival

Gulf Shores

10 a.m. – 10 p.m., Thurs. – Sat.; 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Sun. This annual event features arts, crafts, shopping, live music and of course, some of the tastiest shrimp creations the Gulf Coast has to offer. Admission is free and food, drinks and other items are available for purchase. 

October 14: Pixar in Concert

Saenger Theatre • 6 S Joachim St.

7 p.m. Enjoy scenes from your favorite Pixar movies, including “Finding Nemo, ” “The Incredibles, ” and “Monsters, Inc., ” accompanied by musical scores from the Mobile Symphony Orchestra. Tickets range from $35 – $99.

October 15: Polo at the Point

Sonny Hill-Clearwater Polo Complex • 7883 County Road 32, Point Clear.

11:30 a.m., gates open. Mark your calendars for a day full of world-class polo, fabulous Sunday hats, divot stomping, gourmet cuisine, champagne and more. Individual tailgate tickets are $10, and luncheon tickets are $150. Proceeds benefit the Thomas Hospital Foundation and Mitchell Cancer Institute. 

October 23: Woofstock

Bienville Square • ​Downtown Mobile

11 a.m. Bring your four-legged friend and spend the day in Bienville Square enjoying great food and beverages and listening to live music. Activities include a weiner dog race,  doggie costume contest and much more. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Proceeds benefit the Animal Rescue Foundation. 

October 28: The Revivalists

Soul Kitchen • 219 Dauphin St.

8:30 p.m. The seven-piece rock, soul band from New Orleans will take the stage in Downtown Mobile. Tickets are $22 in advance and $25 the day of the show. 

Oct. 29: Salty Worm Brackish Classic & Delta Bash

Bluegill Restaurant • 3775 Battleship Pkwy, Spanish Fort.

1 p.m. – 5 p.m. Don't miss this one-of-a-kind fishing tournament pitting freshwater anglers against saltwater anglers. Stick around for the after party featuring live music, a silent auction, buffet, activities for the kids and more. Cost is $50 for angling and $30 for the Delta Bash ($35 on the day of). Proceeds benefit the Gaillard Pancreatic Cancer Research Endowment.
