Sept. 1: Chef Challenge

Alabama Cruise Terminal • 201 S Water St.

6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Kick off Hunger Action Month with cuisine from some of the area's most celebrated chefs and restaurants, live music from Roman Street,  a silent auction and complimentary beer, wine and spirits. Participating restaurants include Dumbwaiter, The Noble South, Kitchen on George, Dauphin's, Wintzell's and more. Tickets are $60, and proceeds benefit Feeding the Gulf Coast (formerly Bay Area Food Bank). 

Sept. 8: Miranda Lambert

The Amphitheater at The Wharf • 23325 Amphitheater Dr., Orange Beach.

7:30 p.m. Miranda Lambert brings her unique country twang to The Wharf with hits such as “Only Prettier, ” “Kerosene, ” “Heart Like Mine” and “House that Built Me.” Special guests Kip Moore and Brothers Osborne will perform as well. Tickets range from $45 – $70.

Sept. 15: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

Daphne Civic Center • 2603 US 98, Daphne.

5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. Enjoy a night of pampering and fun while supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mobile. Presented by Wind Creek Casino & Hotel Atmore, this event features heavy hors d'oeuvres from local chefs, McTini's,  manicures, make-overs,  shopping and more. Tickets are $50. Must be 21 or older to attend.

Sept. 15 – 17: Wharf Uncorked Food & Wine Festival 

The Wharf • 23101 Canal Rd.,  Orange Beach.

This three-day event features demos from renowned chefs, more than 150 wines,  cuisine and wine tasting tents, cookbook signings, wine auctions and more. Proceeds will benefit Make-A-Wish Alabama.

Sept. 21: Tour of the Wallace Tunnel

Downtown Mobile 

10 a.m. – 11 a.m. After light refreshments, the tour will leave at 9:45 a.m. from 300 Oakleigh Place and caravan over for the 10 a.m. tour. The tour will be led by members of the Alabama Department of Transportation staff and include a visit to the control room and a guided walking tour of the interior of the tunnel. Admission is $10 for all Historic Mobile Preservation Society members and $25 for non-members. Reservations are required.

Sept. 23 – 25: Vintage Market Days

The Grounds • 1035 Cody Road North

10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Find amazing home items, architectural salvaged pieces, repurposed finds and more at this one-of-a-kind flea market. Admission is $10 on Friday and $5 on Saturday and Sunday. Children 12 and under free. 

Sept. 24: Delta Dash

Lower Bryant's Landing • Stockton

Test your stamina, strength and decision-making skills with this challenging 5K obstacle course race. Registration is $65, and proceeds help fund the educational endeavors of the North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce. 

Sept. 24 – 25: Jubilee Festival

Olde Towne Daphne 

10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Hit the streets of Olde Towne Daphne to enjoy live local bands, children’s activities, festival food and college football on the big screen. Admission is free.

Sept. 25 – Oct. 1: Mobile Fashion Week

Various Locations • Downtown Mobile

Don't miss the latest fashions from various local boutiques walk the runway as models, designers, stylists and businesses come together to celebrate the Port City’s creative industry while raising funds for Camp Rap-a-Hope, a summer camp for kids with cancer. Throughout the week, there will also be discounts at local boutiques.  

Sept. 30 – Oct. 2: 1065 Festival

Downtown Mobile

Enjoy three days of live music and good fun on the streets of downtown Mobile. This year's lineup features Counting Crows, Blind Melon, Seether, The Struts,  Moon Taxi, The Mulligan Brothers and more. Best of all, admission is free!
