It’s common knowledge that Mobile’s downtown restaurant scene is on the come up. El Papi, Southern National and Sylvia’s are all examples of new places that could fit the mold for any hungry Mobilian’s cravings.
Not only are the brick-and-mortar restaurants something to brag about, but our food trucks deserve some credit too! From Southern Grill BBQ to Mother Shucker’s Corn Roasters, our local trucks are guaranteed to serve up anything you’re in the mood for. Since they’re always on the move, it’s doubtful everyone has had the opportunity to give each of them try.
Luckily, you’ll have the chance to do just that on July 25 at Cooper Riverside Park thanks to the Bay Bites Food Truck Festival. From 5 p.m. – 9 p.m., festival goers will be immersed into a night of live music, great food, cold Sweetwater beer and wine provided by BeatBox Beverages, all with a view of the Mobile River. Best of all, proceeds from the event benefit Mobile Baykeeper.
This year’s wide variety of food will let no one go home hungry. The lineup for this year is (drum roll please):
BFF Food Truck
Tin-Tins Rock and Roll
Southern Grill BBQ
Wemo’s Wings
The Hottdoggery
Mother Shucker’s Corn Roasters
The Kraken Catering Co.
Soul Heaven Cafe
