Libby and Danner’s wedding was a representation of their style and a celebration of love and family. The bride and groom grew up going to the same school, but it was only at a Mardi Gras Ball that they began talking. Two days later, they went on their first date, and they both knew two weeks into dating that they had found the one. The ceremony at the Children’s Harbor Chapel was heartfelt and contained special elements that only enhanced its personal meaning. The groom’s grandfather, a former federal judge, married the couple and the groom’s father was the best man, marking three generations playing a significant part in the ceremony.
The reception at Spring House was heavily influenced by the 2024 Birmingham Garden Show designed by Lee Jofa. The couple decided to stray from the traditional bridal aesthetic and opted for bold cherry reds and dark blues. The dance floor featured a design created by the bride containing Ls and Ds for the bride and groom’s initials, an element that carried into custom cocktail napkins, cups and matchboxes. With music, food, drinks and fun, the energy remained high as guests and the new husband and wife danced through the night.
