Well…here we are! A few weeks in to quarantine life and most of us are finding ourselves working from home. I’m currently in an apartment so my desk area is my breakfast table, but it got me thinking… I don’t know what your home office set up is right now, but why not give you four different work from home looks that you can totally create yourself from the comfort of your own home! I also wanted to highlight some incredible local artists and galleries and some of my favorite small businesses while doing these looks. Let’s get to work!
The first look is totally worth “blushing” over. Local highlights include one of artist Sarah Otts’ incredible prints. A mirror from a favorite local shop of mine, M.A. Simons, and a desk you can purchase from me at Cait Waite Designs. I also love incorporating some Susan Gordon Pottery. She isn’t local, but she is an Alabama girl based out of Birmingham, and I love supporting her!

Look number three is more of a traditional setup featuring soft and subtle blues and greens. This space features art from my friends over at Ashland Gallery. Artist Kate Seawell’s florals are the perfect transitional pieces for any room. Additionally, this board showcases beautiful Erika Powell Textiles and one of my favorite rug/lamp sources, Caitlin Wilson Design.

The last look is for all my color lovers out there. If you want an office that has a fun pop to be creative in, look no further! This space features two Sophiella Gallery local artists, Joy Gardner and Kimberly Zukley. The rug and table lamp can be purchased through yours truly! For the final touches, the girls at Sarah Otts Gallery have so many fun happy vases that would look great on this desk.

Every great home office has a good work surface, comfy desk chair, a table lamp or task lamp, things that inspire you, and a pin board or calendar to help keep you organized. Don’t forget during this time to shop local! Support your local artists and art galleries. They are doing everything they can to continue serving you, including curbside pickups and even deliveries. Let’s get through this together!
