Sesame Chicken at Shanghai Cottage
“Shanghai Cottage in Fairhope is one of those cozy spots that hits the mark. I ordered the classic sesame chicken: crispy, battered pieces coated in a homemade sweet and savory sauce, topped with sesame seeds and served over freshly made fried rice. It was flavorful, perfectly balanced with that classic sesame flavor and incredibly satisfying. You can tell that the restaurant creates their meals to order. Whether you’re in the mood for sushi or something hot and comforting, Shanghai Cottage delivers.” – Andrew Trattles, Technical Assistant to the President / Mechanical Engineer, Hargrove Engineers and Constructors

Kanafeh at Sage Lebanese Cuisine & Cafe
“I recently ended a fun birthday dinner out with some friends at Sage Lebanese Cuisine & Cafe in downtown Fairhope. Their entire menu is amazing, but we had to order their kanafeh, the traditional cheesecake-like pastry, for dessert. It was such a great choice. It wasn’t too sweet, had perfectly crispy toasted bits and crushed pistachios on top, and the citrusy syrup drizzle gave it a refreshing twist. A light, delicious finish to a great night.” – Trin Ollinger, Owner, Ollinger Property Management

Loaded Nachos at Traepay’s Snacks & Sno-Balls
“I recently visited Traepay’s Snacks & Sno-Balls on Azalea Road, which serves classic items like hot dogs, nachos and snowballs with a twist. I ordered several things off the menu, and everything was delicious. The loaded nachos were a must-try. The tortilla chips were piled with cheese, bacon and crawfish — a wonderful trio! To add to the experience, their staff was fun-filled, friendly, professional and very approachable.” – Enoch Lamar Smith, President, Easy Heating & Cooling

Seasoned Redfish at Woodside Restaurant
“On a visit to Woodside Restaurant at Gulf State Park, I ordered the seasoned redfish. Tender redfish is tossed with Cajun tasso and coated in a rich, creamy sauce. It’s also served over cavatappi pasta. It’s one of those dishes that feels both indulgent and down-home, and the kind of meal that you find yourself thinking about long after you’ve left. The restaurant’s atmosphere makes it the ideal place to unwind, connect and savor something truly special.” – Tammy Moudy, Administrator & Volunteer Coordinator, South Alabama Land Trust
