When Kate and Austin look back on their wedding day, they most remember the love and support of the family and friends surrounding them. The celebration was designed to reflect their faith, their families and the people closest to them.
After getting ready with her bridesmaids, the bride shared a first look with her grandparents, who were incredibly involved in raising her. Guests gathered in the secret garden at Izenstone for the evening outdoor ceremony, which opened with the bride being escorted down the aisle by her grandfather. Ferns and white florals were abundant, and the ceremony was officiated by the couple’s friend Ryan Smith, who shared their story and pointed the bride and groom back to the reason they were there: making a covenant before God. The couple then shared their first kiss as husband and wife.
At the reception, the newlyweds made their grand entrance, sharing a first dance to “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” followed by a dance between the mother of the bride and her daughter and the mother of the groom and her son, each dance setting the tone for a joy-filled night. White florals were arranged in blue-and-white chinoiserie vases that the bride and her mother collected throughout the year. After the dances, guests gathered for the cake cutting, including a turkey-themed groom’s cake, a nod to the groom’s passion for turkey hunting. The celebration continued into the night as guests ate, drank and danced together. The energy stayed high throughout the evening as the newlyweds celebrated their marriage with the people who love them most.
