Mimi and Jett’s wedding was an occasion marked by intention and attention to detail. While the celebration was traditional in structure, it was elevated by the timing and a large gathering of family and friends. The couple celebrated with a high noon wedding, getting married at exactly 12 p.m. The outdoor ceremony included a showstopping floral arbor, and the bride walked down the aisle in a full-skirted Nardos gown, designed with dahlias in mind, an influence that carried through to the floral design across the entire event. The bride also wore an aquamarine ring from her stepmom Natalie’s late mother as her something blue and carrying a bouquet wrapped in lace from her mother’s and grandmother’s wedding dresses. The color palate of chartreuse with pops of plum and soft pale pink, combined modern aesthetics with conventional shades, and was woven throughout the day.
After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed the newlyweds’ performance of “Piano Man” by Billy Joel on harmonica, which they learned together for the special day. While they were playing, a rainstorm began, unbeknownst to the couple, who were having too much fun to notice, making for a moment that perfectly captured the spirit of the day.
