Catherine and Jacob’s wedding exemplified a fall celebration near the Bay. The bride took photos with her father outside her family’s Fairhope home. The bride then shared a first look with her groom by the lagoon at The Grand Hotel, after which they trollied to Sacred Heart Chapel. A light, coastal breeze flowed through the open doors as the Catholic Nuptial Mass took place.
Afterward, at The Grand Hotel, the newlyweds shared a private dinner as guests enjoyed cocktail hour, featuring an assorted oyster station and hors d’oeuvre on the patio as music was provided by a stringed trio. Everyone then moved to the Grand Ballroom where dinner was served, and the couple had their first dance to the Red Clay Strays’ “Wondering Why” performed by Michael Jamar and the band Creativity from Atlanta. On the dance floor, guests wore whimsical turkey hats as a nod to Thanksgiving being the following Thursday, while outside others enjoyed cigars at the cigar bar.
At the end of the night, the bride changed into her mother’s original wedding dress, surprising her mom by having it altered into a mini dress. After hours of dancing, the couple exited to their honeymoon suite, after which they set off to their honeymoon in Grenada.
