Only about an hour’s drive from Mobile and the Bay area is a vibrant cultural hub — Pensacola, Florida, a city that has so much more to offer beyond its beautiful beaches. In the fall, Pensacola’s artistry comes to life through Foo Foo Fest, a 12-day celebration of arts, theater and music presented by ACE Pensacola.
“We’re aiming to bring something unique and different to a wide variety of people,” says Therese Felth-McKenzie, president of the board for ACE Pensacola and past chair of the Pensacola Foo Foo Festival. “Come experience downtown Pensacola and everything we have to offer during the best time of the year.”
Whether taking a vacation or a quick day trip, event attendees will enjoy dazzling artistic displays, beautiful performances, incredible music and delicious bites from October 29 – November 9, 2026, celebrating this year’s theme, “Foo for the Soul.”
Looking for family fun?
Foo Foo Fest is for the kids and the kids at heart. Curious minds can explore Pensacola MESS Hall’s Science on the Street, which will transform downtown Pensacola into an interactive, hands-on installation exploring how sound travels. Classical ballet meets fantastical storytelling when kangaroos, a lion, a majestic swan and more exotic creatures dance to Camille Saint-Saëns’ beautiful score in Ballet Pensacola’s Carnival of the Animals, a collaboration with the Pensacola Humane Society. Young ballerinas bring the story to life, and rumor has it there will even be real puppies involved. For guests of all ages seeking to be transported, Fiesta Pensacola’s Living Museum moves across Pensacola’s 467-year history through live performances and storytelling. Families will be captivated by the city’s rich culture, music, history and artistry brought to life around them through these wholly original and exciting opportunities.

Looking for a date night?
Where else other than Foo Foo Fest could a couple attend a live music street party and the theater, all on the same day? Night Moves Music Fest brings world-renowned artists to Pensacola across downtown venues, showcasing genres ranging from indie/alternative to punk, EDM and more. Then, for theater enthusiasts, PenArts presents SIDE SHOW, a musical about conjoined twins Daisy and Violet Hilton. Attendees will travel back in time to a 1930s sideshow with catchy tunes from a live band and a heartfelt tale performed by local and national actors.
For the ultimate romantic evening, Pensacola Symphony brings Mozart & Bizet to this year’s festival with a full orchestra performing works from Stravinsky, Mozart and Bizet — a perfect way to celebrate an anniversary or simply enjoy a night out.
Looking to hang out with friends and enjoy a unique experience?
Foo Foo Fest presents a fusion of fashion, rock and visual art through Pensacola Opera’s Rock the Runway: Living Art, ideal for a girls’ night out. Ever heard of Zine culture?
