April 16 – June 21: Gulf Coast Chinese Lantern Festival

5 p.m. – 10 p.m., Thurs. – Sun. Wander through a luminous dreamscape with glowing animals, plants and mythical creatures at this breathtaking display of color and light. Tickets: $26 for adults, $22 for kids and $2 for children 4 and under.

10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sat., 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. Sun. Enjoy professional kite demos, live music, face painting, food trucks and more at this family-friendly event. Admission is free; parking is $5 per car.

April 25: 16th Annual Bald Eagle Bash

4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Celebrate and support conservation at this annual South Alabama Land Trust fundraiser featuring fresh Gulf shrimp prepared by top chefs and restaurants, local brews, live music and more. Tickets: $85.

April 25 – 26: Interstate Mullet Toss

10 a.m. – 4 p.m., daily. A little friendly competition, a lot of flying fish and nonstop beachside fun. Cost is $20 to toss a mullet.

April 29 – May 2: Theatre on the Bluff: “Frozen”

The Bluff at Henry George Park • Fairhope

6:30 p.m. gates open, 7:30 p.m. show begins. Bring blankets, lawn chairs and a picnic dinner to the Bluff to see the Eastern Shore Repertory Theatre perform this Disney classic.
