January 11: Mobile Marathon

7:30 a.m. Whether you join for the full marathon, half or fun run, spend the day running through Downtown and Midtown to benefit First Light Community Foundation of Mobile. Tickets: $160 for full marathon, $100 for half marathon, $20 for fun run.
January 17 – 18: Mobile Symphony Orchestra Presents “Dreams”

January 23: King Cake-Off

5 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Local bakeries, eateries and grocery stores compete to see who has the tastiest king cake on the Gulf Coast, with proceeds benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Central Gulf Coast. Adult tickets: $15 in advance, $20 day of the event. Kids tickets: $5.
January 29: Doc Rock

6:30 p.m. doors open, 7 p.m. show begins. Doc Rock is a “battle of the bands” style event where at least one member of each band has an affiliation with USA Health. Fans can vote for their favorite band, and prizes will be awarded in a variety of categories. Proceeds benefit research and critical clinical needs at USA Health. Advanced tickets: $25
