June 5 – 7: Shindig on the Sand

Dig your feet in the sand and jam out to 70 musical acts and more than 200 musicians, including Wayne Toups, David Lee Murphy, Grayson Capps and Corky Hughes, Sugarcane Jane and more.

June 6: Dragon Boat Festival

5 Rivers Delta Resource Center • Spanish Fort

Partake in a modern version of the Chinese water sport as teams of 22 race in 46-foot dragon boats. If being a spectator is more your thing, come out and support the teams as they compete. Proceeds benefit local education initiatives. 

June 11 – 14: Flora-Bama Fishing Rodeo

Flora-Bama Yacht Club • 17350 Perdido Key Dr.

From catfish to bill fish and everything in between, this “Every Man's” fishing rodeo is designed for anglers who like to have a good time. Accompanying the tournament will be a three-day beach party and awards ceremony that will include daily weigh-ins with fish viewing area, live music, great food and Flora-Bama hospitality. Tickets are $40 for adults, $20 for kids.

June 11 – 25: “Jurassic World”

Crescent Theater • 208 Dauphin St. 

Showtimes vary. Watch Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and Judy Greer star in the highly-anticipated new installment of the “Jurassic Park” series, from director Colin Trevorrow and executive producer Steven Spielberg. Tickets are $10. 

June 18: Black Jacket Symphony presents AC/DC's “Back in Black”

Saenger Theatre • 6 S Joachim St. 

7 p.m. doors open, 8 p.m. show. AC/DC’s “Back in Black” album will be performed in its entirety by a group of handpicked musicians. The performance is separated into two sets: The first set features “Back in Black” recreated as a true symphonic piece. The second set opens in full contrast to the first with an incredible light display and quick tempo. Tickets range from $22 – $27. 

June 20: Kyser Miree Memorial Fishing Tournament

Dauphin Island Marina • 650 LeMoyne Dr., Dauphin Island

Anglers will vie for first, second and third place prizes in the categories of king mackerel, speckled trout,  flounder and slot redfish. Tickets are $30. Proceeds from the tournament benefit the Kyser Miree Scholarship Fund at Vanderbilt University as well as local organizations such as Wilmer Hall Children's Home, St. Mary's Home, Collins-Rhodes Elementary School and Prichard Preparatory School.  

June 26: North Baldwin Chamber 3rd Annual Crawfish Bash

Bay Minette

5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Fill up on crawfish, corn, potatoes, sausage, hot dogs and locally brewed beer from Fairhope Brewing Company. Plus, enjoy live music, games and kids’ activities. Tickets are $20 and include all food and non-alcoholic beverages. Kids 10 and under are free with an adult.  

June 26 – 27: Slide the City

Town Center Drive • Spanish Fort

Experience the city in a whole new way — by cruising down a 1, 000-foot water slide. Wear your swimsuit and don’t forget an inflatable inner tube (every rider must have one to slide). Fees vary depending on when you register and whether you are participating as a Single Slider, Triple Slider or VIP Slider.
