September 12: John Sledge Book Signing

Bragg-Mitchell Mansion • 1906 Spring Hill Ave.

4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Don't miss this book signing event with author John Sledge in celebration of his latest title, “These Rugged Days: The Civil War in Alabama.” In addition to the book signing, guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres, drinks and Civil War-era music. Parking and admission is free.

September 14: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

The Steeple • 251 St. Francis Street

5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. Enjoy a night of pampering and fun while supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mobile. Presented by Wind Creek Casino & Hotel Atmore, this event features heavy hors d'oeuvres from local chefs, McTini's,  manicures, make-overs,  shopping and more. Tickets are $50. Must be 21 or older to attend.

September 14 – 16: The Wharf Uncorked Food & Wine Festival

The Wharf • 23101 Canal Rd.,  Orange Beach.

This three-day event features demos from renowned chefs, more than 150 wines,  cuisine and wine tasting tents, cookbook signings, wine auctions and more. Proceeds will benefit Make-A-Wish Alabama. Cost is $35 for VIP Kickoff Party, $60 for the Grand Tasting.

September 16: GO Run 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run

University of South Alabama • Moulton Tower

8 a.m. 5K,  9 a.m. Fun Run. After the race, stick around for live music and fun in the kids zone. Proceeds benefit Gynecologic Cancer Research at USA Mitchell Cancer Institute. 

September 21: All in for Heart

The Pillars • 1757 Government St.

6:30 p.m. – 11 p.m. This casino-themed event is complete with games such as blackjack, craps and roulette. Each guest will receive $1, 000 in “fun money” to use at the gaming tables. At the end of the night, guests will cash out with the dealer and receive a ticket for every $500 they have won. Those tickets will be exchanged for chances at some very nice prizes. Guests will also enjoy food, complimentary beer and wine and live music throughout the evening. Individual tickets are $60, and proceeds benefit Children's of Alabama. 

September 23: Greek Fest Charity Gala

Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church • 50 S Ann Street

6 p.m. – 10 p.m., after-party follows. The gala will feature authentic Greek food, drinks and music as well as an address by keynote speaker Ms. Edwina Rogers. Don't miss the after-party where Nashville artist Jason Eskridge will perform. Gala tickets are $300 and after-party tickets are $75. Proceeds benefit Penelope House, Prichard Preparatory School and The Diakonia Retreat Center.

September 23 – 24: Jubilee Festival of Arts

Old Towne Daphne

10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Bring the whole family for a weekend celebration including live local bands, cooking demonstrations, local artwork and jewelry, children’s activities and festival food. Admission is free.

September 24 – 30: Mobile Fashion Week

Alabama Contemporary Arts Center

Don't miss the latest fashions from various local boutiques walk the runway as models, designers, stylists and businesses come together to celebrate the Port City’s creative industry while raising funds for Camp Rap-a-Hope, a summer camp for kids with cancer.   

September 27: Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit

Saenger Theatre • 6 S Joachim St.

8 p.m. The acclaimed singer-songwriter returns to the Port City for a performance with Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls. Tickets range from $31 – $47. 

September 29 – October 1: 1065 Music Festival

Downtown Mobile

Enjoy three days of live music and good fun on the streets of downtown Mobile. This year's lineup features St. Paul & the Broken Bones, Cage the Elephant, Blackberry Smoke, Judah & The Lion, Wet Willie, Muscadine Bloodline and more. Best of all, admission is free!
