TUNA TOWER AT MASTER JOE’S
“My most favorite thing to do on a Friday is join some of my tennis friends for lunch at Master Joe’s. The tuna tower is a must-have. It has layers of rice, avocado, spicy tuna, crabmeat and jalapeno drizzled with eel sauce and spicy aioli. It’s the best part of sushi put into a salad-tower form. Since it’s served cold, it’s a great lunch item in the hot summer months. I love to pair it with a bowl of their miso soup and edamame to share with the table too!” – Turner Eleazer, Middle School Coordinator, Young Life Eastern Shore

TUNA SASHIMI AT CHUCK’S FISH
“While the Bay area’s October temperatures are much more bearable than the Sumatran-like heat we always experience in the Gulf area during the late summer, I still enjoy the freshness of a cocktail and cold seafood dish even into the fall. To this end, I take refuge in Chuck’s Fish, and I order their tuna sashimi and a gin and tonic to go with it. Cold, tender and deliciously fresh from Destin’s Harbor Docks, the tuna. never. fails. Yes, I’ll have another.” – Joseph Brennan, Freelance Filmmaker

BIRRIA RAMEN AT LA TAQUERIA
“When I think authentic, La Taqueria’s food truck is the first thing that comes to mind. Their birria ramen is the real MVP. It’s a flavor bomb ready to blow your taste buds away! The rich, colorful consomme is a block party in my mouth. The birria is so tender, it’s begging you to come back for more. Don’t get me started on the sauteed onions and cilantro. The in-house pickled onions are the icing on the cake, or should I say, the sprinkle of magic on this already amazing dish!” – R. King Champion, Digital Creator

BRONZED GROUPER AT CAFE VIOLA
“Jo Rider’s new French Creole restaurant made for a fantastic date night! Hands-down, the highlight of our meal was my bronzed grouper over shrimp and artichoke risotto with buerre monte. The fish was perfectly cooked and the risotto was rich and savory. As a bonus, be sure to start your meal with the fried green tomato appetizer topped with crawfish cream cheese, pickled peppers and radishes, and creole remoulade! Jo greeted us on the way in, and his staff ensured we had a memorable meal from start to finish!” – Ashley Bonner, Attorney
