BBQ SHRIMP AT THE BLIND TIGER
“Our new favorite spot to take our boat to is the Blind Tiger on the Fairhope Pier. I grew up going to this restaurant location in the 1990s, and I am thrilled I can take my kids. It has an incredible view. We ordered small plates to split, and the BBQ shrimp special was a crowd favorite. I love seafood and the sauce on the shrimp made it something special. They were cooked in a NOLA butter sauce, and thankfully, they gave bread to soak it all up. The sauce was so good that you don’t want to leave any in the bowl!” – Turner Eleazer, Middle School Coordinator,

RIBEYE AT THE HABERDASHER
“Tucked away in the back of The Haberdasher is perhaps the best gastronomic hidden gem in downtown Mobile. The 16-ounce ribeye, with its life-affirming, near-magical maillard sear glistening off the cast iron skillet, is my choice tonight. This to-the-point masterpiece of a dish is drizzled with compound herb butter, and served with a small salad and a hunk of bread. It pairs perfectly with a house old fashioned and conversation at the bar.” – Joseph Brennan, Freelance Filmmaker

The consomme is the icing on this flavorful cake, or should I say, this love letter to my stomach?” – R. King Champion, Digital Creator

FRIED SHRIMP AND OKRA SALAD AT LOCAL AND COMPANY FOOD + DRINK
“I stopped in for lunch with some friends at Local and Company Food + Drink in my hometown of Foley. The fried shrimp and okra salad is a dish I can’t wait to go back and order again! The sweet bacon honey vinaigrette over napa and arugula salad was in perfect balance with the salty, crispy fried okra and shrimp. The historic Armory, built in 1934, has been transformed into a unique and upscale dining experience.” – Ashley Bonner, Attorney
