Abby Elizabeth Richey and Edward Wadsworth “Worth” Hines Jr. were united in marriage at Spring Hill Baptist Church on June 22, 2013. The Rev. Dr. Paul Francis Sands and The Rev. Terry Moore Richey, father of the bride, officiated.
The bride is the daughter of The Rev. and Mrs. Terry Moore Richey, of Mobile, and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ray Rowan, of Baldwyn, Miss., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher Lee Richey, of Tupelo, Miss. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Tift Lyons, of Daphne, and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Wadsworth Hines, of Prattville, Ala. His grandparents are Ms. Jo Ann Rippy and the late H. A. Rippy, of Mobile; Mr. and Mrs. Arby Hines, of Prattville; and Mr. and Mrs. Mark Lyons, of Steelwood.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a designer gown featuring a bodice and cap sleeves of lace, crystals, and silver embroidery with an antique brooch at the waistline. She wore her sister’s Alencon lace cathedral-length veil and carried a bouquet of white roses, peonies, orchids and lilies. Lace from her mother’s wedding gown was used on her bouquet and garter.
Laura Allyson Richey Miller, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Traci Lorin Landrum, Ashley Kilcrease Parham and Annie York Persinger. Flower girls were Mary Bennett Hines, daughter of the groom, and Mary Brooks Lyons, sister of the groom.
Ryan Rippy Hines, the groom’s brother, served as best man. Groomsmen were Cole Crawford Hines and Nelson Tift Lyons Jr., brothers of the groom, and James Randolph Miller Jr., brother-in-law of the bride.
Special music was presented by Myles Garver, soloist; The Rev. Bill Taylor, organist; Rebekah
Taylor, cellist; Landon Kirkland, violinist; and Antwan Washington, trumpeter.
A reception followed at the Country Club of Mobile. Guests enjoyed the music of PEEK. After a honeymoon trip to the Dominican Republic, the couple is at home in Mobile.
