Ceremony at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church
Reception at the home of the parents of the bride
Caroline and David celebrated their wedding with a spring garden party in Mobile. The bride, who designs invitations at Arzberger Stationers in Charlotte, North Carolina, collaborated with her favorite artists and calligrapher to bring her invitation vision to life and fulfill a dream come true for her special day. The save-the-dates featured whimsical, fun details from the wedding day, with dog illustrations teasing the reception on Dog River following the ceremony.
On a bright Saturday in late April, both sides of the bride and groom’s families came along with friends to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church for the ceremony. The bride’s strapless dress featured covered buttons trailing down the back and was accessorized with a lace bolero and cathedral-length veil as she walked down the aisle to her groom at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
After the vows, all went to the bride’s parents’ home for the cocktail hour. Springtime florals, colorful prints and green drapery transformed the property, creating a fun, bright atmosphere perfect for the new Mr. and Mrs. Churchill’s wedding celebration. Guests enjoyed signature drinks — an old fashioned for the groom, an Aperol spritz for the bride and a dirty martini affectionately named the Dog River Martini — and dueling pianos at the cocktail hour. After the newlyweds’ entrance and first dance, the dance floor filled with guests as dancing and music stretched into the night.
