Danielle Paula Turner and Anthony Garrett Altmyer were united in marriage at Ashland Place United Methodist Church on June 15, 2013 at half past five in the evening. The Rev. Charles H. Hale Jr. officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul R. Turner. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Fred Dumas and the late Mr. Fred Dumas. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles G. Altmyer. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Altmyer.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a stunning ivory satin strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline, which was elegantly accented on the neckline, side and on the skirt with beading and Swarovski crystals. She carried an elegant bouquet of white garden roses with rhinestone brooches displayed throughout. In memory of her grandfather, a pearl frame with his picture was attached. The bride chose Andrea Timberlake, as her matron of honor. The maid of honor was Heather Kenny and bridesmaid was Lacey Powell. They wore black satin strapless knee-length dresses with a pomegranate sash and carried bouquets of roses. The flower girl was Reagan Nelson.
The groom was attended by his father, Charles G. Altmyer, as his best man. James Lee and Tim Slate served as groomsmen. They wore black tuxedos with black neckties.
Following the ceremony, guests were treated to a reception at Bragg-Mitchell Mansion, beautifully decorated by Belle Bouquet with stunning arrangements. The guests enjoyed a delicious dinner provided by Pat’s Catering, which included a variety of the couple’s favorite foods. The Pastry Shop created a seven-tier wedding cake with ivory bows, as well as the groom’s cake, a three-tier hunting-themed chocolate cake.
The front lawn was surrounded by lights where the couple’s first dance was to “Crazy Girl, ” and the father-daughter dance was to “My Little Girl.” The guests danced to Southern Sounds, and they enjoyed posing in the Magic Memories Photo Booth. Morgan Joy Photography and Wedding Media Group were there to capture all the wonderful memories.
The couple left the reception as guests showered them with rose petals. After a honeymoon to Florida, the couple resides in Mobile.
