Dusty McArdle & Brad Ledbetter

After being introduced by their families in 2010 and a romantic engagement in 2012, Dusty McArdle and Brad Ledbetter were married at The Promiseland on March 30, 2013.

The bride is the daughter of Mike and Cindy McArdle. The groom is the son of Dan and Peggy Bender and Donnie and Rhonda Ledbetter.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a vintage lace form-fitted gown, matching veil and embellished floral belt from I Do Bridal & Formal and pearls that belonged to the groom’s great-grandmother. She carried a gorgeous bouquet of pink and white hydrangeas and roses, wrapped with lace from her mother’s veil.

The bride chose Teresa Hudson, Tammy Fulmer, Becky Skidmore, Kelly Lee and Mary Dean Wilbur as her bridesmaids. The ladies each wore different styles and shades of teal dresses from Bella Bridesmaid and carried bouquets of pink hydrangeas from The Rose Bud.

The groom’s 11-year old son, Carson Ledbetter, served as best man. Groomsmen included Jeremy Franks, Robbie Lawshee, Greg Harger and Chris Ledbetter. Ushers were Robbie Lee and Robbie Bartson. The guys chose khaki pants and vests with different teal ties from Jovi’s Bridal.

The ceremony took place by the lake, amidst huge oak trees that held large white paper lanterns, where all of their closest friends and family gathered. Beautiful light pink hydrangeas led to the white arbor, where the couple stood underneath.

When asked to take Dusty’s hand in marriage, the groom entertained the crowd by letting out an “I reckon” as opposed to the usual “I do.” The bride then
answered “I guess” in response.

The bride created her fairy tale Southern wedding by adding her own personal touches, including draped burlap, vintage mason jars, hand-made notes for their guests and lace-wrapped candles.

Following the ceremony, the guests danced to music provided by Ray Miller Sr. and enjoyed the menu prepared by Naman’s Catering. The bride’s three-tier wedding cake, adorned with all fresh flowers, and the groom’s houndstooth Alabama-themed cake were created by The Little Cake Shop. The groom’s uncle and local artist, Frank Ledbetter, hand-crafted the stainless steel “L” that topped the wedding cake.

The bride and groom would like to give a special thanks to Robin Foster, MH3 Printing, Morgan Joy Photography, Elliott’s Jewelry, Kristin Suther, Malcolm Slater and those special family members who made everything possible.

The couple enjoyed an amazing honeymoon together in Jamaica.
