Emma Magee and Alexander Munderloh

Emma Cornelia Magee and Alexander Edward Munderloh were united in marriage at Springhill Presbyterian Church on May 28, 2011. Dr. Norman H. McCrummen, III officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Bailey Magee, Jr. and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Agee Stallworth Broughton, Jr., of Perdue Hill, Ala. and Mrs. Benjamin Bailey Magee and the late Mr. Benjamin Bailey Magee, of Charleston, Miss.

The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Stephen Howard Munderloh. He is the grandson of Mrs. E.E. Iverson, the late Mr. E.E. Iverson, and Mrs. Frances Munderloh, of Milbank, S.D., and the late Mr. Howard M. Munderloh, of Denver, Colo.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory Chantilly lace gown with a sweep train. Her cathedral length veil was handmade and trimmed with lace from her mother’s wedding veil. The bride chose her sister, Catherine Bailey Magee, as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Alisa Autterson, Leigh Power Brewer, Caroline Castigliola, Mary Laura Hastings, Jeannie Blair Hood, Laura Hudspeth, Catherine McPhillips, Bess Scrivner and Libba Zukley. The bridesmaids wore knee-length, champagne silk taffeta dresses and carried bouquets made of blue hydrangeas, gerber daises and calla lilies.

The groom was attended by his father, Dr. Stephen Howard Munderloh, and his brother, Charles Earling Munderloh, as his best men. Michael Blonkvist, Jake Breedlove, Travis Bustamante, Matt Ganier, Lee Gilley, Michael Gusmus, Ward Hieronymus and Cullen McCarthy served as groomsmen.

Following the wedding ceremony, guests were treated to a reception in the Crystal Ballroom at the Battle House Hotel, where they danced to the Motown band Compozitionz. The couple’s first dance was “At Last, ” and the father-daughter dance was to “Isn’t She Lovely.” Homer McClure with Zimlich Brothers Florist created a stunning entrance with metal trees wrapped in white lights to create a whimsical feel.

Arrangements of white hydrangeas, peonies, lilies and greenery were scattered throughout the reception.

On Friday evening, the parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner for the wedding party, family and friends at the Country Club of Mobile.

After traveling to the Dominican Republic for their honeymoon, the couple now resides in Nashville, Tenn.
