Beautiful weather and intentional details made Frances and Ryan’s wedding celebration one filled with joy. The couple met during Mardi Gras, and their spring wedding mirrored the same revelry and fun of the Carnival season.
The bride’s ensemble showcased both her something old and something new, mixing bespoke items with family pieces. A laser-cut satin the bride sourced online provided the perfect starting point for her custom gown, which was accompanied by the veil worn by her sister and mother on their wedding days. She also wore a pair of triple-pearl earrings from her great-grandmother, donned by many of the women on her mother’s side on their weddings.
Music filled Spring Hill Presbyterian Church as guests arrived for the nuptials. The date was doubly significant, as it was also the parents of the bride’s 34th wedding anniversary. Excited anticipation permeated the air, evident as the organ began “Here Comes the Bride” before the bridesmaids’ entrance. The moment added to the levity of the day, and joy was palpable as the bride entered the church carrying a lush bouquet. The bride and groom shared vows in a ceremony officiated by the bride’s uncle, Reverend Kevin Ingram, alongside Spring Hill Presbyterian Church’s Reverend Brandon Miles.
At the Stewartfield reception, guests enjoyed drinks, hors d’oeuvres and music before the couple’s entrance and first dance to “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love) by Natalie Cole, inspired by the bride’s love of “The Parent Trap.” A green color palette was present throughout the celebration, from the shades hanging inside the tent to the chinoiserie table linens to the checked dance floor, adding a natural wash of color to the outdoor party. Hours of dancing led to an evening snack of Dew Drop hot dogs before the couple’s exit into the new chapter of their lives.
