Holly Marie Neely & Jacob Trent Burroughs

After meeting as a nurse and respiratory therapist at USA Children’s & Women’s Hospital, Holly Marie Neely and Jacob Trent Burroughs were united in marriage at Little Flower Catholic Church on October 24, 2014. Father John Lyons officiated the ceremony.

Given in marriage by her parents Dale and Sheri Neely, the bride wore a custom gown from The Timeless Bride adorned with beaded lace and completed with a set of pearls handed down by her mother. Leigh McQuillan stood beside her as maid of honor, along with bridesmaids Starla Piccini and Shannon Hardee. The bride and bridal party carried fall flowers, including roses and sunflowers, arranged beautifully by Zimlich the Florist. The best man was James Burroughs, and groomsmen were Jacob Papania and Joseph Neely.

A reception followed at The Pillars of Mobile. Guests dined on an exquisite meal prepared by Ron’s Catering while sipping on drinks provided by Red Bar Beverage Catering. The stunning bridal and groom cakes were designed and made by Pollman’s Bake Shop. After a champagne toast and cake smashing by the bride and groom, they joined the guests and wedding party on the dance floor. DJ’s By the Bay provided the music. The entire day and night was beautifully captured by Jeff Tesney Photography.

The bride added personal touches to the reception venue: candlelit lanterns with flowers matching her bouquet centered the tables and a frame honored family members of the bride and groom who witnessed their special day from heaven. Included were the groom’s cousin, Ethan Berry, the bride’s paternal grandparents, Peter and Dolores Neely, and the bride’s maternal grandfather, Edmond Revere.

Special thanks to Heather Pfefferkorn of The Pillars of Mobile. She was truly a blessing, and the day would not have gone perfectly without her dedication.

The bride would like to thank her mother, Sheri Neely. Without her, the bride’s dreams of a wedding would not have existed. Her strength and courage were an example to every person she met. The day was truly a dream come true.
