Jacqueline Michelle Bodet and Brett David Hancock were united in Holy Matrimony at The Most Holy Name of Jesus Church in New Orleans, La., on October 13, 2012. The Rev. Father Alejandro Emilio Valladares officiated and The Rev. Father William Bry Shields, Jr., concelebrated.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. C. Adrien Bodet, III and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerard Allen Geppert, Mrs. C. Adrien Bodet, Jr., and the late Dr. C. Adrien Bodet, Jr. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Joe Hancock and the grandson of Mrs. André Antoine deLaneuville, Jr., the late Mr. André Antoine deLaneuville, Jr., Mrs. Woodrow Wilson Hancock and the late Mr. Woodrow Wilson Hancock.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose her sister, Miss Margaux Marie Bodet, as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Miss Cecilia D’Estine Bodet, Miss Natalie Nell Coleman, Miss Emily Michelle Lafleur, Mrs. Kirby Scelfo Messinger, Miss Laurie Ann Stuchlik, Miss Ashley Amelia Tassin and Miss Clara Elise Zieman. Junior bridesmaid was Miss Alexandra Hayley Hirsch and the flower girl was Miss Beatrice Rose Sandercock. The groom chose his cousin, Paul Joseph Hubbell, IV, as his best man. He was also attended by James Patrick Bodet, Casey Paul Conravey, Vigil Addison Lacy IV, James Roy McLellan, Gregory Guilbert Meier, Jr., Orlando Ernesto Rodriguez and Douglas David Tassin. The ring bearer was Master Hayes William Sandercock. Ushers were Christopher Adrien Bodet, André Antoine deLaneuville IV, Andrew Joseph Gund, Allyn Ross Skelton IV, Drake David Tassin and Joseph Ignatius Gerard Zieman. Charles Frederick Gund III and Mrs.Angela Mazza Reeves read during the service. Program girls were Miss Nancy O’Neill Bodet, Miss Elizabeth Ann Karr, Miss Caroline Sonja Sandercock and Miss Cecilia Leigh Skelton.
A reception followed the ceremony at Arnaud’s in the Vieux Carré. The evening concluded with a second line led by the newlyweds. After a honeymoon to Napa Valley, the couple will reside in New Orleans, La.
