Katherine Ann Manas & Matthew Miller Robertson

Katherine Ann Manas and Matthew Miller Robertson were united in marriage at the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception on June 21, 2014. The Rev. James F. Zoghby officiated with assistance by the Rev. Monsignor G. Warren Wall.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reynaldo Edgardo Manas. The groom is the son of Mr. James Thomas Robertson and Mrs. Elaine Miller Robertson.

The bride wore a strapless reembroidered lace A-line chapel-skirt gown with scalloped hem designed by Romona Keveza. The gown and belt were embellished with embroidered crystal beading. Her cathedral-length handmade veil, handed down by her sister, was made of English tulle and edged in crystals. The bride carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas with pale pink roses created by Belle Bouquet.

The bride chose her sister Nicole Marie Bodine as matron of honor. Claire Monique Manas and Breanne Caitlin Curtis were maids of honor. Caroline Eileen Manas, Megan Elizabeth Manas, Marigny Elisabeth Dupuy, Kellie Elizabeth Bruner, Megan Renee Setterstrom, Jessica Renee Owens, Mary Elizabeth Peavy, Katie Amelia Pierce and Danielle Marie Barnett were bridesmaids. Julianne Bond Dennis and Caroline Catherine Dennis were junior bridesmaids. Kristen Abigail Manas, Jillian Grace Manas and Ava Claire Manas were flower girls. The bridesmaids wore pale blue chiffon dresses by Bari Jay and carried bouquets of blue hydrangeas with pink roses.

The groom chose his father, James Thomas Robertson, as his best man. James Stuart Robertson, Andrew Sean Manas, Michael John Manas, Patrick James Manas, Chad Garrett Jordan, Stehle Jon-Austin Graves, Joshua Edward Hicks, William Colby Sewell and Richard James Dennis were groomsmen. Andrew Ryan Manas and Kenneth Lee Wise were junior groomsmen. Aiden Paul Bodine, Landon Brian Bodine and Michael Alexander Manas were ring bearers.

Following the ceremony, the Excelsior Band escorted the bridal party and guests to the Ezell House where they sipped on margaritas, the signature drink for the evening. Guests enjoyed crab cakes, oysters Rockefeller, roast beef, shrimp and other Southern favorites from Creative Catering by Sean. Pollman’s Bake Shop created the five-tiered wedding cake, which was decorated with blue hydrangeas and pink and white roses. The groom enjoyed a dobache Auburn-themed cake surrounded by football-decorated strawberries. Jeff Tesney photographed the entire day, creating beautiful memories for the couple. 

Guests danced through the evening to the music of the band Hotwire. The bride and groom made their exit amongst a flurry of white rose petals. After a honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple now resides in Augusta, Georgia.
