Lauren and Aaron’s wedding day authentically reflected both the bride and groom’s personalities, serving as an ode to their relationship and the people around them. The bride is a longtime associate of photographer Elizabeth Gelineau (who also played a key role in the groom’s surprise proposal), so it was only fitting to have Elizabeth photograph her wedding.
The bride’s attire included heirloom family earrings worn by the mother of the bride at her wedding and a necklace belonging to the mother of the groom. Her gown featured a large bow, chosen as a nod to the same detail on her mother’s gown. The St. Patrick’s Day weekend wedding honored the groom’s family’s Irish heritage, and the groom and groomsmen even stopped by the Callaghan’s St. Patrick’s Day Street Party before their own festivities began.
A crowd of guests witnessed the vows at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, with all attending the History Museum of Mobile reception afterward. A memory table honoring the love that came before the couple’s own love story showcased wedding photos from family members and portraits of loved ones who had passed away. After food and drinks, the night gave way to dancing — and laughter — on the black-and-white checkered floor. A bubble exit created a magical ending for a day that was the perfect embodiment of the newlyweds.
