May 10, 2025 // Ceremony at Cathedral-Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, Reception at the Country Club of Mobile
Lola and Fletcher’s wedding was a celebration of love, the Catholic faith and their families. The election of Pope Leo XIV occurred a mere two days before the wedding, and yellow-and-white bunting over the doors of the cathedral marked the occurrence of events.
After the wedding Mass, all attended the reception. The couple’s first date was to a Mardi Gras ball, and they were heralded by Blow House Band in a traditional second line as they paraded into the Country Club of Mobile foyer, decorated with commissioned artwork of AK Hardeman. The bride and her father danced to “Oh, Marie,” rewritten into “Lola Marie” for their dance. Music, food and dancing accented the party and lasted well into the night.
