The wedding of Mamie and Jack in Mobile was accompanied by mild and clear spring weather, good family and friends and lots of laughter. The couple met their freshman year of high school at McGill-Toolen Catholic High School and began dating a year later, growing closer with each passing year.
At the St. Mary’s Catholic Church ceremony, the bride, wearing a full lace gown, met her groom at the altar, where they said their vows in front of their guests. After the ceremony, all departed the church for Cotton Hall, which was decorated with stunning florals in cheery shades of pink, peach, yellow and orange, highlighting the joyful tone of the occasion.
After their entrance, the couple danced to “Still the One” by Orleans for their first dance. Guests enjoyed cocktails from the brightly painted bar, and the pink-stripe dance floor remained full throughout the evening. Cups, napkins and huggers were designed with pictures of the couple’s French bulldog, Olive, and Olive’s martini bar opened later into the celebration. After baseball caps embroidered with three olives and a late-night snack of Krystal’s sliders were passed out to all the guests, the bride made an outfit change into a sparkly floral dress, after which the newlyweds made their exit through rose petals.
